Travis Swanson is 12 years old and is in the 7th grade.
He has been playing fiddle since age nine, and provides
some of the lead and harmony vocals for the group.
Travis first became inspired to learn the fiddle after
attending the Roanoke Fiddlefest in Virginia in 2004.
Although the fiddle is his main instrument, Travis also
plays guitar, piano, mandolin, and is in his middle school
drum line.  In his free time when he's not playing music,
he likes soccer, baseball, and golf.
Tyler Swanson is 15 years old and is in the 9th grade.  He has
been playing banjo s
ince age twelve.  Tyler first became inspired
to learn the banjo after hearing Sammy Shelor play at the
Withlacoochee Bluegrass Jamboree in Dunnellon, Florida.
Although the banjo is his main instrument, Tyler also plays
guitar, piano, fiddle, bass, and mandolin.  In addition to music,
he is on his highschool's varsity soccer team, baseball team, and
golf team.
Eric Swanson is 19 years old and is a freshman at the University of
Florida in Gainesville. He plays the mandolin and provides some
outstanding lead vocal for the group.  Eric is an accomplished
musician and feels right at home on many other instruments such as
guitar, Dobro, octave guitar, and mandola, which he occasionally
brings to performances for a special song or two.  His early years
in music included learning piano and playing the upright bass and
drums for his church choir.  At the age of thirteen, he began
pursuing mandolin as his instrument of focus and began immersing
himself in the study of bluegrass music.  Now, in addition to his
academic demands as a chemistry major, he gives bluegrass
presentations for music students each semester at the University of
Florida and continues to perform with his family band.
Lynn Swanson plays the guitar and sings harmony for the
family group.  In addition to guitar, she is an accomplished
pianist and has accompanied church choirs and led various
musical groups.  With her musical background, she was able to
help her sons experiment with playing many different
instruments beginning at a young age.  Now it is a lifelong
dream of hers come true to be on stage performing with her
family!  She also is the one to organize the family's schedule and
takes care of the business aspects of managing the band.
Rick Swanson plays the bass and provides some of the lead
vocal for the family group.  Rick has always loved bluegrass
music and exposed his sons to it at a young age by taking
them to bluegrass festivals and concerts, traveling as far as
North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia so they could learn
the authentic traditions of this style of music.  Together with
his wife, Lynn, he believes it has been an amazing blessing
from God to be able to play music together, and he hopes to
bring joy into as many lives as possible by sharing this gift
with others.
